WooW great scritp! I`ll buy it soon..
Hi,
Thanks for the plugin! Couple of issues with this:
-the plugin imports unlimited number of tags rather than the # specified in the settings.
-Could we ommit/take out links and other junk/crap that is in the titles or in descriptions?
-The scheduled 3 or 5 videos ever # of hours doesn’t work until you manually run the script from settings page.
-The video information like “views, ratings, from, etc.” need to be organized better in some type of form;
From: Name
Ratings:
Views:
instead of just one word per line or something.
Hi
Thank you for your feedback, let me address them one by one:
- The unlimited number of tags must be a bug, you are the first to report it, let me research and get back to you.
- Taking out the links and crap can be done, but I need to figure out the best approach to do this, perhaps add a regexp-alike feature in the settings, I just need to find a more user friendly way to do it. It will be included in a future version, but I am not sure I will include it the v.1-series
- The scheduling does not work? I have tested on several blogs, and that sounds very strange. May I ask if you have installed on a new blog? The plugin uses WordPress’s built in “pseudo”-cron, which is only triggered when there is a visitor to the blog… Also, if there is no more new content to publish from the RSS feeds, the plugin will not publish anything.. Have you tried doing a “run now” and see if anything is published? If not, then the RSS feeds are “dry” and you can either add more RSS feeds, or wait until there is new content. I hope you can get back to me with information, before I start a deeper investigation.
- The video information… Let me mark that down for a 1.9.x version.
You will get the new version sent to you via e-mail as soon as it is released.
Thank you again for your feedback, please let me know if there is anything else.
Best wishes.
Thanks.
Regarding scheduling: It does work when I hit on “run now” but if I say, 3 videos every 5 or 10 hours then it doesn’t do anything, unless, I hit the run now button and it adds the videos.
Does it matter if that setting is set to post new videos as drafts? I haven’t tried it with published option yet.
First one is definitely is a bug as it happened on almost new site as well as one with a lot of plugins.
Regards
Hi again
The plugin only posts in “real time”, so let’s say you’ve set it to 5 hours, you have to wait 5 hours (+ 1 second) from when you have pressed “save options” to see anything.. the “RUN NOW” was added by request from a beta-tester so you could quickly add some content and also check if the settings were correctly set up.
It should not make any difference if it is set to draft or publish.
If the problem persists, I would like to continue support via e-mail instead, since I will be requiring some information about the site to pinpoint the error and debug.
Hi again
I found the bug on a test-site I set up. It seems there is a specific setting that prevents the plugin from working correctly. I have up until now had 6 different sites I test on, this is now #7.
I will try to fix the bug asap and send to you (and all other who bought a license).
