Introduce Yourself

A recent comment made me think that I needed a place where people could introduce themselves here, to the other commenters.

Let me the first to get the ball rolling…

My name is Lars Koudal, I run myWordPress.com, and develop the plugins I blog about here, and sell from CleverPlugins.com

I was born and raised in Denmark by a loving family, and I got a degree as a Mediaeconomist at the Interactive Media & Marketing Academy (IMMA by friends) in Denmark …. some years ago… I have gradually progressed through the different niches in the IT-business, starting out as a 3D-Artist/Compositor (I managed to work on a Danish movie many years back, and a range of commercials).

I spent most of my time working as a freelancer through the past 10+ years, doing some fun and interesting projects. I also worked as a freelance Linguistic Tester for Electronic Arts, which was a great job for me at the time. Basically I traveled wherever they asked me to, and then they paid me to test the computer games they developed were properly translated to Danish. A fantastic freelance gig I kept for 5+ years, until I grew weary of it.

I moved on to working as a Project Manager once I grew weary of being a freelancer, and held a really great job in Denmark for a years time. I realized however that it was about time to do follow one my life-long dreams, which was to move abroad and test my skill and life in a different country and culture.

I quit my job and was fortunate enough to be offered a position in Barcelona, Spain before I moved there in 2008. I worked for that company as a SEO/PPC Manager, until it succumbed to “the crisis” which is affecting just about everyone in the world in 2009.

I am staying here in Barcelona, I love my life, and I am fighting my way out and up from the crisis by developing the WordPress plugins you read about here as well as setting up custom WordPress installations and doing custom development projects for customers. I offer my SEO/PPC services to local companies who wish to have a proper introduction to SEO, and I instruct with the mentality of “teach a man to fish, and he will never go hungry again”.
